Arturia launches Pure SUB bass design synthesizer

Arturia has released Pure SUB, a new dual-engine monophonic synthesizer plugin designed specifically for bass and sub-bass production. The tool is intended for macOS and Windows and functions as a bass designer rather than a traditional subtractive synthesizer.

The plugin utilizes a three-stage architecture to shape sound: sub, harmonics, and texture. It includes features such as sub-regeneration and offers 300 production-ready presets. The software is designed to handle various styles, including dubstep, drum and bass, and house, by allowing users to manipulate the fundamental and harmonics independently.

Reviewers note the plugin is CPU-friendly and features a deep modulation system, though it is primarily optimized for low-frequency ranges between 20 Hz and 80 Hz.
