Arturo Barrios Invitational features University of Houston and Ohio State

The Arturo Barrios Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M at the Watts Cross Country Course in College Station, Texas, features several collegiate teams including the University of Houston and Ohio State University.

The University of Houston cross country teams are scheduled to compete in an 8k race for the men and a 6k race for the women. Following a strong performance at the Texas A&M Invitational where the women placed third and Henok Hagos secured a second-place individual finish, the Cougars aim to build on recent successes.

Ohio State University’s men’s and women’s teams are also participating in the event to conclude their regular season. The Buckeyes' women's team enters the meet following recent top finishes at the Paul Short Invitational, while the men's team follows their last appearance at the Spartan Invite. The postseason for Ohio State is scheduled to begin with the Big Ten Championships in late October.
