Arturo López Obrador confronted by protesters in Veracruz

Arturo López Obrador, the brother of former Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, was confronted by a group of diners at a restaurant in Coatepec, Veracruz. The incident occurred at the Meson Guadalupe restaurant during the afternoon.

Protesters shouted slogans such as ‘fuera Morena’ and accused the family of leaving the country in ruin. During the confrontation, Arturo López Obrador attempted to de-escalate the situation by stating that he does not live off the Morena party and claiming to belong to a different political party.

Video footage of the encounter shows the tension rising as diners continued their chants. The confrontation also involved Arturo's wife and mother-in-law, with reports indicating a physical altercation involving a diner's phone during the dispute.
