Arturo Medina advocates aid for displaced families and road repairs in Chihuahua

State deputy Arturo Medina, coordinator of the PRI parliamentary group in Chihuahua, said he is maintaining continuous contact with state authorities to ensure humanitarian assistance for families displaced from the Cinco Llagas community in Guadalupe y Calvo. He highlighted measures such as temporary shelters, medical care, food distribution, legal counseling, transport and security guarantees, and praised the prompt response of Governor Maru Campos and state institutions.

Medina also used a congressional session in Guachochi to call on the federal government to fund the rehabilitation of federal highway sections that serve the Sierra Tarahumara. He warned that the deteriorated road raises transport costs, hampers tourism, threatens safety and impedes emergency services, affecting thousands of families. He urged the federal authorities to allocate resources quickly to restore a safe and functional route for the region’s economic and social development.
