Arturo the rescued dog finds a new home in Bariloche

In January, a neighbor reported an abandoned dog at the intersection of Tomás Espora Avenue and Arturo Illia Street in Adrogué, Buenos Aires Province. The municipal Zoonosis Brown team rescued the animal, named Arturo, and transferred him to the Centro de Sanidad Animal in Burzaco, where he underwent two surgeries and spent several weeks in care.

After recovering, the Almirante Brown municipality launched a responsible‑adoption campaign. Ana, who learned of Arturo’s story, adopted him and relocated the dog to Bariloche. There, Arturo enjoys the snow, has regained his health, coat and joy, and lives with his new family. Municipal officials, including Mariano Cascallares, highlighted the case as an example of how coordinated rescue work can turn abandonment into hope and stressed the importance of responsible pet ownership.
