Artvin zoning decisions require greater transparency, says Zafer Alkan

Zafer Alkan has called for greater transparency regarding zoning decisions in Artvin, emphasizing that residents must be fully informed about changes affecting their property. Alkan noted that while zoning regulations are technical processes, they directly impact the ownership, labor, and future of citizens.

Specifically addressing Article 18 applications in the Çayağzı and Çamlık neighborhoods, Alkan stated that legal notification and posting processes are insufficient on their own. He argued that the municipality should go beyond mere legal requirements to ensure that affected individuals clearly understand how these changes impact their land use and rights, preventing technical processes from turning into uncertainty for the public.
