Aruba fatal accident: Family disputes driver identity of deceased woman

The family of 23-year-old Kimberly, a woman from Rotterdam, is questioning the official account of a fatal off-road vehicle accident in Aruba. While initial reports suggested Kimberly was driving the vehicle when it overturned on September 13, her family disputes this claim, stating she was not a risk-taker and disliked driving.

New eyewitness testimonies have emerged, with the family's lawyer, Peter Schouten, stating that several witnesses claim Kimberly was not behind the wheel. The accident involved Kimberly, her boyfriend, and a friend who is a Dutch marine. Due to the involvement of a Dutch military member, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee has taken over the investigation from Aruban authorities.
