Aruba launches entrepreneurship masterclass to strengthen private sector

Aruba’s Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEZHI), through its IDEA unit, is advancing Phase 3 of its Masterclass Entrepreneurship program. The initiative, themed ‘Manage Your Business’, aims to strengthen the local private sector by providing entrepreneurs with essential management tools.

On September 29, 2026, the program will host its first Phase 3 workshop, ‘Ready to Grow: Managing Your Finances & Employee Insurance’. The session is designed for both existing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, focusing on financial administration and employer responsibilities regarding employee insurance.

Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever, stated that providing access to practical knowledge is vital for building a sustainable private sector. He emphasized that entrepreneurs must be equipped with the ability to understand their finances and employer obligations to ensure long-term business growth.
