Aruba launches second edition of Cuida Aruba national cleaning initiative

The Government of Aruba is launching the second edition of 'Cuida Aruba' (Care for Aruba), a national initiative designed to foster a culture of shared responsibility for the island's maintenance and cleanliness. The program encourages citizens, businesses, and volunteers to participate in cleaning activities on the last Saturday of every month.

Prime Minister Mike Eman stated that the goal extends beyond a single day of waste collection; the initiative aims to empower communities to identify and address other local needs, such as the upkeep of sports fields, schools, and community centers.

To facilitate participation, six specific waste collection points will be available across the island, including locations in San Nicolas, Pos Chikito, Barcadera, Santa Cruz, Oranjestad, and Tanki Leendert. Various public and private entities, including WEB Aruba N.V., DOW, Serlimar, and the Korps Politie Aruba (KPA), are collaborating to provide organization, security, and public health support for the event.
