Aruba police express concern over rising traffic fatalities

Aruba Police Force High Commissioner Ramon Arnhem has expressed deep concern regarding a rising trend in traffic accidents. As of October 2026, the country has recorded 13 traffic-related fatalities.

Authorities are urging motorists to follow traffic regulations, avoid mobile phone use while driving, adhere to speed limits, and refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The police department emphasized that they will increase traffic controls and may issue fines or pursue detentions for infractions to ensure public safety.
