Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman calls for stronger Kingdom cooperation

Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman delivered a farewell address to the Kingdom Council of Ministers in The Hague, emphasizing the need for practical cooperation within the Dutch Kingdom. Eman urged that historical and constitutional links be translated into concrete results, citing previous successful collaborations in aviation, research, education, and business.

Eman highlighted Aruba’s strategic location and multilingual society as assets for regional partnerships. He proposed exploring a permanent knowledge center in Aruba through cooperation with Wageningen University & Research, focusing on sectors such as food security, climate adaptation, biodiversity, and water management.

Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten praised Eman during a press conference, noting his contribution to a stronger economy and his focus on vulnerable societal members. Jetten underscored the importance of security and diplomatic cooperation between the Kingdom nations, particularly given the geopolitical situation surrounding Venezuela.
