Aruba records 8.9% rise in visitors in Q1 2026 amid hotel expansion

Aruba welcomed 427,343 tourists between January and March 2026, an 8.9% increase from the same period a year earlier, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization. The growth continues a multi‑year trend that has positioned the island as a reliable vacation market, helped by new luxury resorts and its location outside the Atlantic hurricane belt.

Travel guides note that there are no direct flights from Spain to Aruba. Passengers typically connect via Amsterdam on KLM or via Bogotá on Avianca. Travelers transiting through the United States must obtain an ESTA visa, and all Spanish visitors need to complete the mandatory online Embarkation‑Disembarkation (ED) Card before departure.
