Aruba Telecom Union raises concerns over SETAR director vacancy

The Sindicato di Trahador den Telecomunicacion (STT) has expressed serious concern regarding the vacancy for the new director position at SETAR N. V. The union is questioning the terms outlined in the job posting, specifically the proposed five-year contract and the openness to foreign candidates.

STT highlights that for the past 23 years, SETAR has been led by directors who rose from within the company, fostering growth and technological investment. The union argues that local professionals possess the necessary experience and internal knowledge to lead the company.

Furthermore, the union questions the necessity of a five-year term given the current situation of SETAR under LNT, and expresses apprehension regarding the requirements for foreign candidates to relocate to Aruba and obtain work permits.
