Arubial Wagyu semen straws sell for $150,000 each

At the 2026 Marble High Wagyu sale held in Toowoomba, Queensland, a set of two semen straws sold for $150,000 each. The transaction involved the Berland family of Bar V Wagyu from Kansas, US, purchasing straws produced by the Morgan family's Arubial W0969.

Industry observers noted the price as a potential world record for the breed. Arubial Wagyu principal Laird Morgan remarked that the bulls involved are among the best in the world regarding data, ranking in the top one percent of three main indices.

The auction saw a 100 per cent clearance rate across 52 lots, resulting in a gross total of $2.29 million. This performance exceeded the 2025 sale, which saw a 95 per cent clearance and a gross of $2.27 million.
