Arunachal Pradesh Governor emphasizes connectivity and honors administrative service

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General KT Parnaik (Retd) has emphasized that enhancing connectivity across the state is vital for strengthening national security and improving local quality of life. During a coordination meeting with the Army, Indian Air Force, State IT Department, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the Governor highlighted the need for a collaborative approach to support the Digital India vision and the Vibrant Villages Programme.

Governor Parnaik stressed that reliable telecommunications are essential for providing remote border villages with access to education, healthcare, and government services. He called for stakeholders to pool resources and expertise to overcome geographical and infrastructural challenges.

In a separate event at Lok Bhavan, Governor Parnaik presented the ‘Land of Rising Sun Plaque for Excellence’ to Pawan Kumar Sain. The award recognized Sain’s administrative leadership and commitment to effective governance as he relinquished his role as Commissioner to the Governor.
