Arunachal Pradesh Governor flags off 3,000-km solo cycling expedition

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General K. T. Parnaik (Retd) flagged off a 3,000-km solo cycling expedition from Itanagar to Gujarat. The journey, undertaken by Abhinav Singh, commemorates the International Day of Older Persons and serves as a tribute to his late grandparents.

During the event, the Governor emphasized the importance of geriatric care and social responsibility toward senior citizens. He noted that rapid urbanization and changing family structures can leave the elderly vulnerable to neglect and loneliness, urging the expedition to raise awareness about the dignity and security of older persons in India.
