Arunachal Pradesh receives major road and power infrastructure upgrades

The Indian government has sanctioned approximately Rs 2,423.70 crore for five road construction projects on the Arunachal Frontier Highway (NH-913). These projects, which cover nearly 278 km of intermediate lane roads, were awarded to joint ventures led by Ceigall India Limited. The works will span the Sarli-Huri, Huri-Taliha, and Bile-Migging sections across the Upper Subansiri and West Siang districts.

In a separate infrastructure development, the 132 kV Along-Kamba transmission line and the 132/33 kV Kamba substation have been energized in Arunachal Pradesh. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein stated that this expansion aims to improve power reliability and grid stability, providing essential support for the Tato Hydroelectric Power Projects. This commissioning is part of the Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening Transmission and Distribution System, with 95 of 239 project elements now operational.
