Arusha Regional Commissioner swears in new District Commissioners

Arusha Regional Commissioner Amos Gabriel Makalla has sworn in new District Commissioners for the Arusha, Arumeru, and Ngorongoro districts. During the ceremony, Makalla instructed the new officials to ensure that public offices serve as reliable refuges for citizens by listening to and addressing their grievances promptly.

Makalla emphasized that this directive aligns with President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s commitment to improving citizen satisfaction. He warned leaders against fostering conflicts or ignoring public concerns. Additionally, he highlighted the Arusha Region's economic and diplomatic importance, particularly in the tourism sector, urging officials to maintain the region's gateways, such as Kilimanjaro International Airport, to attract visitors.

The newly sworn-in officials include Nicodemus Tambo Mwikozi (Arusha), Neema Kichiki Lugangira (Arumeru), and Lieutenant Colonel Robert Augustino Kakowangile (Ngorongoro). Winfrid Erneus Tamba was also sworn in as the new Executive Director of the Longido Council.
