Arvid Lindblad crash triggers red flag at Spanish Grand Prix

The second free practice session of the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix was interrupted by a red flag following a crash by Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad. Lindblad lost control of his car entering a corner and struck a TecPro barrier, resulting in a session stoppage lasting over 10 minutes.

Prior to the accident, Lindblad had been performing competitively, holding fourth place on the timing sheets. Following the incident, the driver apologized to his team over the radio, taking responsibility for the error. The crash will require significant repairs to the Racing Bulls car.

After the session resumed, Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli finished with the fastest time, followed by Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Earlier in the weekend, George Russell had topped the first practice session.
