Arvind Kejriwal alleges 75 years of injustice against tribal communities
On World Tribal Day, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal alleged that India's tribal communities have faced significant injustice over the past 75 years. In a video message, Kejriwal claimed the community has been deliberately left behind in national development while their natural resources—specifically water, forests, and land—have been plundered and handed over to large corporations by corrupt leaders.
Kejriwal criticized the lack of implementation of the PESA Act, stating that decisions affecting tribal communities are often made without consulting the community or the Gram Sabha. He also highlighted the incarceration of AAP leader Chaitar Vasava, asserting that Vasava is in jail for raising these specific tribal rights issues.
