Arvind Kejriwal alleges Rs 200 crore theft in Ram temple donation case

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that around ₹200 crore of funds raised for the Ram Janmabhoomi temple have been stolen, with only about ₹80 lakh recovered so far. He said the police have arrested only low‑level clerks, while the main accused remain free and have not been interrogated or placed under police remand.

Kejriwal also pointed to the lack of any inquiry into how the missing money was diverted and accused the government of shielding the principal perpetrators. The remarks came during a press event in Amritsar where the Aam Admi Party also announced plans to build a new Love‑Kush and Mata Janaki temple, and the comments underscore political tensions ahead of upcoming state elections in Punjab.
