Arvind Kejriwal challenges BJP to joint school inspections
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to a joint inspection of 1,000 government schools each in Punjab and Gujarat. Kejriwal proposed that the media accompany them to evaluate and compare the quality of public education in both states.
Kejriwal defended the Punjab government's performance, stating that AAP has upgraded 19,200 out of 19,700 government schools in the state. He also cited NITI Aayog rankings, claiming Punjab rose from 28th to 1st place in government school education during his party's tenure.
Addressing recent criticisms, Kejriwal accused the BJP of spreading misinformation by using old videos from 2018—during the previous Congress administration—and AI-generated content to misrepresent the current state of Punjab's educational facilities.
