Arvind Kejriwal faces praise from AAP and criticism from BJP

Political tensions in Delhi have surfaced following birthday tributes to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal and subsequent criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

AAP leader Anurag Dhanda issued a statement praising Kejriwal’s leadership and his ability to inspire others, describing him as a lifelong source of learning and guidance. Dhanda expressed wishes for Kejriwal’s long life and continued influence within the party.

In contrast, Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra criticized Kejriwal for describing himself as a ‘mental Naxal’ while claiming to be a patriot. Malhotra argued that Kejriwal possesses a ‘politically Naxal mindset,’ citing his support for student protests in Delhi while remaining silent on similar issues in Punjab and Jharkhand. Malhotra further dismissed Kejriwal’s goal of creating a corruption-free India as a farce, alleging that corruption remains embedded in his political practices.
