Aam Aadmi Party launches signature drive over Ram Temple offering theft allegations

Delhi chief Arvind Kejriwal announced that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch a nationwide signature campaign demanding harsh punishment for those accused of stealing the chadhava (offerings) at the Ram Temple. The move follows a Sundarkand recitation event held at Rohini’s Japanese Park, where Kejriwal appealed to devotees to join the effort and prayed to Lord Hanuman for justice.

AAP national convenor Manish Sisodia posted on the X platform, urging participants to chant the Hanuman Chalisa and gather signatures across villages and societies, stating, “We hope the truth will emerge, accountability will be decided and justice will be delivered.” He also called on Prime Minister Modi to reveal the facts and said, “If your devotion is genuine, bring the truth forward.”

The party accuses the alleged thieves of exploiting the sacred site for political gain and criticises the government for alleged mishandling of land‑related investigations. BJP Delhi chief Harsh Malhotra dismissed the event as a political stunt aimed at influencing voters in upcoming elections.
