Arvind Kejriwal praises Punjab government school infrastructure
Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has praised the transformation of educational infrastructure in Punjab. Highlighting a newly furnished library at the Government Senior Secondary School in Bhaini Bhagha, Mansa district, Kejriwal stated that the quality of state-run institutions depends on “neeyat” (intent) to counter arguments that public schools cannot meet private standards.
The library facility was originally showcased by Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who described it as a well-equipped space designed to support student learning.
In a separate development, over 180 Elementary Teacher Training (ETT) teachers and their families held a protest sit-in outside the residence of Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema in Chandigarh. The demonstrators are alleging large-scale irregularities and misconduct by department clerks during the recruitment process for the 180 teachers, demanding the suspension of those involved in the alleged scam.
