Arvind Kejriwal to hold Goa townhall regarding E20 fuel concerns
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has announced a townhall meeting in Panjim, Goa, scheduled for August 25 at 3 pm. The event, held at Vivanta Miramar, aims to address grievances from vehicle owners regarding the mandatory use of E20 fuel.
Local AAP leaders, including Goa State President Valmiki Naik, have conducted outreach across the state, from Calangute to Canacona. Reported issues stemming from E20 fuel include decreased mileage and carburetor problems, affecting students, private vehicle owners, and bike taxi pilots. Kejriwal noted that due to high vehicle ownership rates, the transition to E20 could impact between 85 and 90 per cent of Goans.
This initiative follows a previous national townhall in Delhi that drew approximately 7 lakh viewers. The campaign comes as the Aam Aadmi Party increases its grassroots presence in the state ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
