Arvind Kejriwal visits Vijai Sardesai to mark ‘Goa First’ alliance

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal visited the ancestral home of Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai in Savaiverem, near Ponda, to observe Ganesh Chaturthi.

The visit follows the formal announcement of ‘Goa First’, a pre-poll alliance between the AAP and GFP aimed at the February 2027 Goa Assembly elections. The alliance is being positioned as a credible political alternative for voters seeking options outside of the BJP and Congress parties.

Kejriwal stated that the two parties would act as equal partners and would soon discuss seat-sharing arrangements. Sardesai noted that the alliance intends to prioritize the welfare of Goa and expressed hope that the political wisdom of the state would prevent future instances of political defections.
