ARX Robotics and Roboneers partner on unmanned land warfare

ARX Robotics and the Ukrainian company Roboneers have entered into a strategic partnership focused on unmanned land warfare. The agreement was signed in Kyiv in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The collaboration involves the technical integration of both companies' systems and joint development efforts. This follows a June 2026 agreement to establish ARX Industries, a joint venture dedicated to the serial production of the Rys Pro unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) in both Germany and Ukraine.

ARX Robotics currently operates the largest Western-built fleet of ground drones in Ukraine via its Gereon model. The partnership aims to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a large-scale fleet of smart UGVs while ensuring battlefield lessons are integrated into the development of land systems for other Western armies. The Ukrainian government estimates a demand for 50,000 unmanned ground systems in 2026.
