Arya Saloka prepares for role in Munafik: Melawan Iblis

The horror film ‘Munafik: Melawan Iblis’, produced by Unlimited Production, is currently screening in cinemas across Indonesia. The film stars Arya Saloka, Acha Septriasa, Dimas Aditya, Donny Damara, and Nova Eliza.

Arya Saloka portrays the lead character, Ustaz Adam. To prepare for the role, Saloka underwent intensive training to ensure his recitation of Al-Qur’an verses was fluent and accurate. This process involved relearning from the ‘Iqro’ level to master correct pronunciation, including long and short vowels and specific letter articulations. Saloka noted that the preparation included studying ‘ruqyah’ and receiving guidance from an ustaz to assist with memorization. Due to this preparation, the actor required minimal dubbing during the post-production process.
