Aaryavir Sehwag scores 173 runs in Vinoo Mankad Trophy

Aaryavir Sehwag, captain of the Delhi Under-19 cricket team, scored 173 runs from 143 balls in a Vinoo Mankad Trophy match against Chandigarh. His performance included 19 boundaries and eight sixes.

His innings helped Delhi reach a total of 289/6 in their allotted 50 overs. Aaryavir shared a 98-run opening partnership with Arnav Bugga, who contributed 47 runs. Despite his commanding performance, Delhi was unable to secure a victory as Chandigarh chased down the target in 41.3 overs.

The 18-year-old, son of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, recently made his international debut for the India Under-19 team in a series against Australia. This century follows a previous high score of 297 runs against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier in 2024.
