Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic to join new Grand Slam player council

A new dialogue body between tennis stars and Grand Slam tournament organizers is being formed. The advisory council was established following protests from top players seeking greater influence over tournament decisions and increased revenue.

The council will consist of twelve players, split equally between the men's and women's tours. Representing the women are Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Iva Jovic, Elina Svitolina, and Maria Sakkari.

The men's representatives include Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti, and Arthur Rinderknech. Notable absences from the group include Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Coco Gauff.
