Aryna Sabalenka marks 100 weeks as WTA world No. 1

Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has completed 100 weeks atop the Women’s Tennis Association rankings, becoming only the tenth player to do so since the system’s inception in 1975. Her 92‑week consecutive streak places her sixth on the all‑time list for longest uninterrupted reigns, behind Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova, Serena Williams, Chris Evert and Martina Barty. The achievement also makes her one of seven players of the 21st century to finish two successive seasons as world No. 1.

In parallel, Sabalenka discussed her off‑court friendships with Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Karen Khachanov, describing the viral TikTok videos and dance challenges that have drawn fan attention. She said the collaborations emerged naturally and highlighted Djokovic’s advice on return positioning and mental preparation. As the 2026 season reaches its final stretch, Sabalenka is aiming for a Grand Slam title at the upcoming US Open after a fourth‑round exit at Wimbledon.
