As I Lay Dying teases new songs and seeks fan input for ninth album

Metal band As I Lay Dying has announced they have completed their ninth studio album and are seeking fan input to finalize the track listing. The band recorded 12 songs but intends to select only 10 for the final release.

Frontman Tim Lambesis teased two "polarizing" tracks titled “Polarized” and “Retribution.” Lambesis described the songs as sonically distinct: “Polarized” is a melodic, heavy track featuring more singing, while “Retribution” is a blistering song without clean vocals. The band plans to release clips of both tracks over the coming week, with a full release of the songs scheduled for September 15. Fans will be invited to vote on whether both tracks should be included on the album.

The upcoming project follows 2024's “Through Storms Ahead,” which was released following significant lineup changes after most members departed the group.
