As Meninas da Garagem Secreta series to premiere on Globoplay

The new Brazilian youth series “As Meninas da Garagem Secreta” is set to premiere on the Gloob channel and the Globoplay streaming platform. Inspired by the theatrical trilogy by Cia. Delas, the story follows three sixth-grade students who form the “Clube Secreto da Baderna” in a garage to navigate the pressures of pre-adolescence.

Beyond typical school conflicts, the narrative uses music, memes, and art to introduce viewers to influential women from science, art, and society. The production was filmed in Jundiaí, São Paulo, utilizing local landmarks such as the Jardim Botânico, Praça Marechal Floriano Peixoto, and the historic Escola Estadual Conde do Parnaíba, which serves as the fictional school “Venceslau Braga” in the series.

Director João Daniel Tikhomiroff noted that Jundiaí was chosen for its interior city characteristics and its historic architecture. The production also had a local economic impact, employing over 90 professionals from the region.
