AS Monaco Basketball Appeals to French Sports Authority Over League Admission

AS Monaco Basket‑Ball S.A. has lodged an appeal with the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) after the French Basketball Federation’s (FFBB) appellate court rejected its request to join the Betclic ELITE 2026‑27 season. The club is seeking a conciliation procedure to have its admission re‑examined, while continuing to explore all legal avenues under French sports law and working with institutional partners on its restructuring. The outcome will determine whether the Monaco club can compete in France’s top professional basketball league and potentially in the EuroCup.

The appeal follows the FFBB Chamber of Appeal decision and cites the club’s commitment to “engager une procédure de conciliation afin d’obtenir un réexamen de l’admission du Club au championnat Betclic ELITE 2026/27.”
