AS Monaco eyes summer player sales, Pogba's future uncertain as PSG pursues Akliouche and Balogun

AS Monaco chief executive Thiago Scuro said the club must reduce its wage bill this summer and is prepared to sell key assets. He confirmed that Paris Saint‑Germain are interested in winger Maghnes Akliouche and striker Folarin Balogun, noting that Monaco would accept a fair deal and would walk away if terms were not satisfactory. Monaco has set an asking price of at least €50 million for Akliouche after a previous €35 million offer was rejected.

Scuro also addressed the situation of Paul Pogba, who joined Monaco on a two‑year contract last summer but made only six league appearances (115 minutes) and was left out of the Champions League squad. With the appointment of new head coach Filipe Luís, who described Pogba as a “special player,” the club is evaluating whether the French midfielder will stay or leave. Scuro told Get French Football News, “Yes, of course. Maybe he'll leave, maybe he'll stay,” adding that the final decision will depend on the player’s preparation and the coach’s assessment during the summer.
