AS Monaco considers departures of Ansu Fati and Folarin Balogun
AS Monaco is evaluating the future of attackers Ansu Fati and Folarin Balogun following a dip in form in Ligue 1. After a strong start to the season, the club has gone three matches without a victory, including a recent 1-1 draw against Lille.
Ansu Fati, signed permanently from Barcelona for €11 million, faces scrutiny regarding his long-term value due to recurring injuries. After missing the first seven matches of the season with a calf issue, the Spanish forward has reportedly suffered a new hamstring injury.
Folarin Balogun is also a subject of speculation for the upcoming winter transfer window. Despite manager Filipe Luís insisting the American international remains important, Balogun has played only 71 minutes this season. Monaco may look to sell the player to recoup investment, with Everton previously showing interest in a deal worth approximately €46 million.
