Coach Michal Gasparik noted that Monaco controlled the match from the start, citing a significant gap in quality and noting that his players appeared fatigued and lacked belief after conceding early. The club's exit follows previous eliminations in the Champions League qualifiers against Fenerbahce and the Europa League qualifiers against Ferencvaros.

Club owner Lukas Podolski described the experience as a lesson, acknowledging the high level of competition. Analysts have pointed to defensive vulnerabilities as a primary concern for the team, having conceded seven goals across the two legs against Monaco. Additionally, defender Paweł Bochniewicz sustained an injury during the match.
