AS Monaco plans to sell Folarin Balogun in January
AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro has confirmed the club’s primary objective for the upcoming January transfer window is to sell striker Folarin Balogun. The move is intended to provide the club with the financial flexibility to retain other key players, such as Lamine Camara and Aleksandr Golovin, until the end of the season.
Balogun, a former Arsenal player, saw a potential summer move to Everton collapse. While he remains with Monaco for the first half of the 2026/27 campaign, the club's leadership is actively seeking a solution for his departure. Arsenal maintains a 17.5% sell-on clause in his contract, which could result in a significant payout depending on the final transfer fee.
