AS Roma eyes Diego Moreira and Fresneda in transfer push
Director Tony D’Amico is working to reinforce AS Roma’s flanks before the squad’s training camp in Wales. The club’s top target on the left side is Diego Moreira, currently at Strasbourg. The French side’s asking price is close to €60 million, which Roma consider too high; a reduction or a deal at a similar price to a previous Cagliari transfer is expected. Moreira’s agent Mendes says the player is ready to sign a contract worth about €2.5 million per season, up from his current €0.9 million.
On the right flank, Roma are scouting Fresneda, a 2004‑born Spanish defender from Sporting CP, with a reported fee of €25 million. D’Amico hopes to lower the cost by roughly €10 million. The club is also interested in Alessio Cacciamani from Torino as an alternative right‑back option. Players expected to leave include Salah‑Eddine and Angeliño. Meanwhile, defender Gianluca Mancini has renewed his contract with Roma until 2029.
