AS Roma faces June 30 deadline, may sell midfielder Manu Koné

AS Roma must comply with UEFA’s financial‑fair‑play rules by June 30. The club is weighing the sale of its French midfielder Manu Koné, whose market value is estimated at around €50 million, to generate a large capital gain that could balance the books.

Inter Milan has been reported to monitor the situation, but no concrete negotiations have been confirmed. Roma hopes that other incoming revenues – including a TV‑rights settlement of roughly €15‑17 million and a legal payout of about €6 million – will allow the club to keep Koné, whose coach Gian Piero Gasperini regards as a key player.

If the club cannot secure enough funds before the deadline, selling Koné could become the primary solution, though the sale price would need to reflect his rising value after the upcoming Club World Cup.
