AS Roma holds marathon summit to shape transfer market strategy

AS Roma conducted an extensive, four‑hour summit late into the night after its training camp in Wales. The meeting brought together head coach Francesco Gasperini, newly appointed CEO Galantic, sporting director D'Amico and club owner Ryan Friedkin to discuss the club’s remaining transfer targets before the September window closes.

The discussion focused on the need for a right‑footed winger, a left‑back, and the possible sale of high‑profile players such as Manu Koné and Matías Soulé, with Milan reportedly interested in Rafael Leão. The club also confirmed the return of player Pellegrini to the squad, pending a medical examination and contract signing.

Gasperini expressed that, despite recent arrivals of Koulierakis, Castro and Molina, the squad still feels incomplete, prompting the leadership to seek further reinforcements to build on the recent third‑place finish.
