AS Roma maintains positive financial outlook despite 105 million euro transfer spend

AS Roma has concluded a heavy summer transfer window with a significant investment in player acquisitions. While the club recorded a negative transfer balance of 105.5 million euros—reflecting 115 million euros spent against 9.5 million euros earned from sales—the long-term financial outlook remains positive.

Due to factors such as amortization, player sales, and savings, the net impact on the 2026/27 income statement is estimated to be a positive 3.75 million euros. Key investments include Santiago Castro, who joined from Bologna for approximately 35 million euros with a contract lasting until 2031, and the permanent acquisition of Donyell Malen from Aston Villa. Other notable defensive reinforcements include Konstantinos Koulierakis from Wolfsburg for approximately 17 million euros plus bonuses.
