AS Roma marks historical club anniversaries

AS Roma is commemorating two significant historical milestones occurring on October 30.

In 1983, the club secured a dominant 5-1 victory against Napoli during the seventh matchday of Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico. Under coach Nils Liedholm, the championship-winning side scored four goals in the first half through Graziani, Cerezo, Falcao, and Bruno Conti, who later added a second goal to complete his brace.

Additionally, the club celebrates the 25th anniversary of Daniele De Rossi’s professional debut. De Rossi, who wore the number 27 shirt, made his first appearance for the club as an eighteen-year-old during a 1-1 Champions League draw against Anderlecht. The match, managed by Fabio Capello, featured an experimental lineup and marked the beginning of a long-standing association between the player and the club.
