AS Roma denies Dybala and Molina permission to attend Messi farewell

AS Roma has reportedly denied permission for Paulo Dybala and Nahuel Molina to travel to Argentina to attend Lionel Messi’s farewell match for the national team. The match is scheduled for October 6 at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.

Club officials and manager Gian Piero Gasperini cited concerns over the long-distance travel and the physical toll it would take on the players. The decision comes ahead of a busy period for the club, including a match against Como on October 11 and a Champions League fixture against Real Madrid.

Because Dybala was not called up to the current squad and Molina is serving a suspension, both players would have attended the event solely as guests. While the players expressed a desire to honor their teammate, the club prioritized training and preparation for upcoming domestic and European fixtures.
