AS Roma bids €45‑46 million for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville

AS Roma have lodged a €45‑46 million offer to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville. The club’s opening bid of €40 million plus €5 million in bonuses was rejected, with West Ham holding out for about €50 million, according to transfer reports. Summerville has indicated openness to the move and has reduced his wage demands to roughly €4 million a season plus bonuses. Roma aim to meet the player's release clause and finalize a contract before a looming deadline, while also trying to complete the deal before English rivals such as Aston Villa—who have a potential £117 million windfall from the sale of Morgan Rogers—can intervene. Other clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, have also been linked with the 24‑year‑old, whose market value rose after a strong World Cup showing. West Ham, relegated to the Championship, are keen to sell to raise funds after recent profitable departures.

Fabrizio Romano noted on social media: “AS Roma are set to send new bid to West Ham for Crysencio Summerville. Opening €40m plus €5m bid rejected on Saturday, Roma set to get back to the table and present new proposal.” Sky Sports reported that Roma are “ready to pay €45 million” for the Dutch international.
