AS Roma pursues multiple transfer targets including Summerville and Varela

West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville has indicated his willingness to join AS Roma, with personal terms reportedly close. Roma is said to be preparing an offer of around £38 million, below his £50 million release clause, while West Ham remains firm on the higher price amid interest from Manchester United and Aston Villa.

At the same time, AS Roma have identified defensive midfielder Alan Varela of FC Porto as a primary target. The Portuguese club values the 25‑year‑old at roughly €40 million, but Varela’s contract runs to 2030 with a €75 million buy‑out clause, making the deal challenging. Premier League clubs such as Manchester City and Manchester United are also monitoring the player, adding further competition to Roma’s negotiations.
