AS Roma intensifies transfer activity for Champions League

AS Roma is actively managing squad reinforcements ahead of their Champions League campaign. Following a pre-season tour that highlighted defensive vulnerabilities, manager Gian Piero Gasperini has emphasized the need for tactical cohesion and new signings to bolster the roster.

In defensive matters, the club has reached an agreement with Wolfsburg for the permanent transfer of Greek center-back Konstantinos Koulierakis in a deal worth approximately 17 million euros plus bonuses.

On the attacking front, several transfer pursuits are underway. The club is targeting Porto’s 19-year-old Rodrigo Mora, though a significant valuation gap remains between Porto’s 45 million euro asking price and Roma’s 25-30 million euro offer. Roma is also monitoring Inter Milan’s Luis Henrique as a versatile option for the wings or attacking midfield, with Inter seeking around 30 million euros.

Additionally, a previously discussed move for Real Madrid’s Endrick has stalled due to the Spanish club's decision to retain the player, though interest may resurface in January. Following a collapsed pursuit of Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, the club is also exploring attacking options from Chelsea.
