AS Roma targets PSV winger Ruben van Bommel

AS Roma is reportedly interested in signing PSV Eindhoven winger Ruben van Bommel during the upcoming January transfer window. The Italian club is looking to bolster its attacking options, specifically targeting a left winger to fill a gap left by unsuccessful summer pursuits.

Van Bommel, 22, has seen a resurgence in form following a major knee injury last year. He has recorded two goals and four assists in seven Eredivisie matches this season. His recent performances also earned him a debut with the Netherlands national team under coach Xavi Hernández, where he provided an assist against Germany.

While Roma views Van Bommel as a potential target, reports suggest he may be a secondary option behind Real Madrid's Endrick, should a loan move for the Brazilian become viable. PSV remains cautious about the possibility of losing the player they acquired from AZ for 15 million euros in 2025.
