AS Saint-Etienne faces injury setbacks ahead of Metz match

AS Saint-Etienne coach Ian Cathro has confirmed several player absences ahead of the team's upcoming Ligue 2 match against FC Metz. Mahmoud Jaber, Paul Eymard, and Paalberg will all be unavailable for the Saturday fixture.

Cathro expressed particular concern regarding Mahmoud Jaber, noting that his recovery is complex due to a long-standing injury related to surgery performed at the end of last season. Jaber is expected to remain sidelined for several more weeks.

On a more positive note, the club reported progress for midfielder Jakob Breum. Following a recent physical alert, Breum is improving and is expected to gradually reintegrate into the squad and receive increasing playing time in the coming weeks.
